Out of hours
Unforseen things and emergencies sometimes happen.
Should you require veterinary assistance when we are closed, we operate an emergency service with Vets Now Ltd who are based out of their host practice Lynwood Veterinary Group in Wimborne Dorset.
Vets Now pet emergency service in Bournemouth, rated as outstanding by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), has been caring for pets in Bournemouth since 2010.
With effect from 2 July 2017 they operate out of Lynwood Veterinary Group in Wimborne. Their dedicated team of emergency vets and nurses work through the nights, weekends and bank holidays to be there for your pet when we are unfortunately closed.
This is great news for our clients, because this is now much closer than travelling to the PDSA in Bournemouth.
In the first instance you should call the Vets Now Emergency Clinic number on 01202 859933 the telephone is answered by Vets Now staff and all calls are logged and recorded for reference purposes should they be needed.
You would need to transport your pet to the Vets Now clinic:

The emergency service operates at the following times:
Monday - Friday: 6pm - 8.30am
Weekends: Saturday 12 noon to Monday 8.30am
Bank Holidays: 24 hour cover provided
The service provided by Vets Now is there to specifically improve the care that our clients receive during our out of hours. Hillside pay Vets Now directly who employ permanent members of staff. Note: Emergency night staff do not work the day-time shift.
REMEMBER: Vets Now offer free advice during out of hours, ie when Hillside Vets is closed. Please do not hesitate to call them if you have any worries about your pet.

Directions to Vets Now, from the A349
1. Head north on the A349/Gravel Hill.
2. At the Merley roundabout take the 2nd exit onto B3073/Oakley Hill
3. After 0.7 miles turn right onto New Borough Road.
4. Continue around the oneway system for 0.2 miles and Vets Now will be on the right, just before you reach the T junction.
