BSc BVSc MRCVS - Vet & Clinic Director
Growing up in Hertfordshire, just North of London Chris admits to being unashamedly inspired by the writings of James Herriot and wanted to be a vet for as long as he had wanted to be anything. Chris attended the University of Bristol Veterinary School and graduated in 1994.
With a first passion for livestock (cattle) Chris worked at a mixed practice in North Dorset before deciding to improve his small animal skills and moved to Bournemouth where he worked as a locum. Chris met his wife, Sam and having discovered this beautiful area of Dorset wanted to stay. Chris went on to join Karen at Hillside in 1999, becoming a partner in 2001. Professionally Chris has a particular interest in ophthalmology and rabbit medicine.
Chris plays squash regularly as well as enjoying messing around on the water when time allows. Chris is married with a son and has a cat, french lop rabbit and border terrier Kipster, who is well known at the practice for helping out at reception.
