IMPORTANT CHANGES TO HILLSIDE'S PRACTICES
Please take the time to read this important update.
In light of the current and ever-changing situation regarding Covid-19 and social distancing we have had to make some changes to the way we conduct our work here at Hillside.
We hope you will understand that these are in the best interests of keeping our staff & clients safe whilst continuing to care for the pets who need us.
These changes will come into effect from MONDAY 23rd MARCH 2020 and are in line with advice from the RCVS and BVA as well as the British Government.
ENTERING THE BUILDING:
We regret to say that clients are no longer able to enter the building, except in an emergency. This means that we are not able to allow clients in to purchase food, medications, flea & worming treatments etc, however these can be ordered and paid for over the phone then when you come to collect, can be brought out to you.
BRINGING YOUR PET TO THEIR APPOINTMENT:
Once you arrive in the car park, please telephone our reception on 01202 698899 to let them know you are here. One of our team will then come and collect your pet from you and bring into the practice. The vet/ nurse with whom you have an appointment will then hold the consultation over the phone with you. Our receptionist will then phone to take card payment then one of the team will bring your pet back out to you. The same will apply for any animals coming in for operations.
These can be completed over the phone or online via our website www.hillsidevets.co.uk and click the ‘repeat prescriptions’ button. Please allow at least 48 hours for these to be ready.
This also applies to flea & wormer treatments.
We will only be giving out usual supplies to allow continual supplies of medicines for all pets. We have adequate supplies within the practice.
By the end of next week we are hoping to have video consultations in place for those who are ill or self isolating and are worried about their pets.
We are only able to do home visits in extreme circumstances at this time and decisions on this will be made on a case by case status, we hope you understand.
We have already adopted increased hygiene measures in the surgery as per biosecurity guidance. We have now moved all food and and supplies from our reception area but these are still available. Please phone and discuss your needs and we can have these ready for you.
We are unable to take any cash or cheque payments at this time and will only be taking card payments over the phone.
If you have any questions please do call us on 01202 698899.
We hope you understand why these steps need to be taken. These are unprecedented times and we feel we need to do all we can to protect our staff and clients.
