Andy Morris

Andy Morris Hillside Vets

BSc (Hons) BVSc Cert AVP (GSAS) MRCVS – Vet (Orthopaedic Surgeon)
RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery

Andy qualified from the University of Bristol in 2003 and following several years in mixed practice he focused his attention on small animal practice with an interest in surgery. He worked for a busy PDSA hospital in Romford and during this time he advanced to senior vet. With a high surgical caseload and regular visits to referral practices he was in the first cohort to achieve the Cert AVP (GSAS).

Andy has worked overseas as a vet for numerous charities returning to the UK in 2012 to commence study towards the RCVS Diploma in orthopaedics.

Andy is now the managing director of VetFix and has recently been recognised as an advanced practitioner in small animal surgery. Andy joined Hillside in March 2015 offering referral orthopaedic surgery.

Andy is a keen sportsman and enjoys football, rugby, fishing, kayaking, beach volleyball and cycling. His friends include two German Shorthaired Pointers and a three legged cat he rescued called Poppy!

Andy is also on the Editorial Board of the open access, EBVM journal Veterinary Evidence, which is published by RCVS Knowledge
